we make learning fun. If you're laughing you're listening and if you're listening your learning! We offer the Nationally Accredited HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage training. Massage courses Gold Coast. Full-time and part-time.
If you are thinking of becoming a student of Q, I would seriously recommend you shop around. The course format is very unfriendly to those who have work and family commitments. There are nowhere near enough course handouts except for some photocopied sheets - you are expected to take screenshots of your computer when logged into your account if you want anything other than these! There are no reference books or work tools given to you as part of the fees you pay. When paying thousands of dollars to attend a course I expect (And have been given on other courses) the entire course content given to me digitally and in hard copy so i know exactly what the expectations are and the course structure. The instructors often failed to give relevant information and then gave a test a few days later when we obviously weren't ready, and when approached, didn't really seem to care. Having been a student of Q academy, I can honestly say that I won't ever go ...read more
As an employee of Q Academy I find this comment strange. Our course manuals for Cert IV and Diploma (all included with the course) are about a 1000 pages each! We have a range of course options, full-time, part-time and flexible online delivery. Our students get access to a state of the art online learning platform.
If you hadn't mentioned our name directly then I would've assumed you were thinking of a different trainer.
Finally our completion rates, which are reported annually, are excellent. Anyone reading this is welcome to contact us directly to get the current rate - for 2014 it was just under 90%. The national training average, which is the combination of all schools in Australia is 34%, so we take pride in our completion rates!
It's sad to hear this was your perception of the course/s we offer as we strive to be industry leaders in all aspects of training and learner support.
Let me clarify something here. My intention was to post a review regarding Q academy. For reasons unbeknownst to me, my search for sunshine coast q academy landed me on this page which I realise now is for the gold coast q academy. My apologies if I have offended you. I stand by my comments regarding my experience with Q academy (which is not a perception). As a nationally qualified trainer assessor I also know when a registered training organisation is failing to deliver. I would love to see this 1000 page manual that you are handing out down there, but at the sunshine coast there are none to be seen and the instructors really are not very accomodating at all. And Yes the drop-out rate was over 50%. Please do not correct me on what I know. You can quote whatever facts and figures you like, but you were not in attendence at my course!
I work for head office and across all regional areas. So my comments are not site specific.
Again I'm sorry that you feel this way. However I stand beside what I said earlier. An open forum is not the area to discuss this further. If you're a legitimate student with an issue then please contact us. I've seen no negative feedback or complaints like you've outlined from past or current students. We seek regular learner feedback, all of which I review.
We also have a defined complaints policy, check your student handbook. Both of these would be normal avenues for a grievance and rectification process, rather than posting an anonymous review.
