Be careful of frequent flyer program been a life member since 2003.Had points expire without informing me which is stealing.Points not allocated flying business class with partner airline.Just monitor your account ,the customer centre in New Zealand won't get back to you in my experience. They make it hard to support your national airline when they constantly let you down.
I flew from London Heathrow to Christchurch, via Sydney on flights QF9 and QF8766 on 4 - 6 February. QF8766 is operated by Emirates. On receipt of my baggage at Christchurch I found my luggage had been damaged, most particularly the zipper pull had been yanked off. I contacted Qantas immediately and on return I was able to submit all the details required. I AM NOW TOLD IT IS EMIRATES WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE. Please explain how this is so. I cannot claim from Emirates as I am out of time. Qantas took my luggage at Heathrow and it was not in my control thereafter. You might also like to blame BA (country operators at Heathrow) and Air New Zealand (country operators at Christchurch), as it would appear that the operator which had the luggage for 1,325 miles must be more to blame than the operator which had it for the other 10,500 ...read more
I took a flight with Qantas a while back to the Gold Coast and it was the worst flight I have had on any airline. Qantas have put more seats in 1st class and then squeezed economy back, which in turn made less room between the seats and made things very cramped. My back started playing up as soon as I got off the plane and I was in agony for a few days afterwards.
The snack was not much bigger than a lamington and no alcohol (because it was before 4pm).
Jeststar is Qantas's low cost airline and it had more room between the seats than Qantas (on the way back)
Alan Joyce should hang his head in shame. I will never use Qantas again.
I recently flew with then only a few months ago and the entire experience was just brilliant as you would generally expect. However, on this particular flight from Melbourne to Sydney was quite unexpected. Arriving promptly for the 2.30pm connection to Sydney, everyone boarded the flight was normal. After sitting on the aircraft with the plane moving for some time on the ground floor there was an announcement that there were technical issues with the right wings and unfortunately the flight could not take off after 40 minutes of everyone sitting on the aircraft. After another 20 minutes or so, there was another announcement that we all needed to get off the flight as alternative arrangements may be needed. People scattered everywhere, from the service desk directly from the planes exit, as the queue was so long I went directly out to the airport entrance only to be told it was all ok and everyone was boarding again. Returning back to the same gate, only to ...read more
