Jordan is just time waster, has no skills on assessing job and will start off asking high dollars then negotiate down to get the job, then never showed up to complete making excuses to come back later. Wasted my whole week this way. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people.
I called QBH out for a blocked drain. Advertised in the local paper was an ad $88 flat rate.
When they turned up they couldn't get the machine down the access point near the house so it was assumed that the blockage was there and that they would come back the following day to dig up the pipe with the problem and also notified me that the current set up of drainage from the back of the house into the sewerage pipes were overloaded and illegal so that had to be resolved and I was quoted $1,800.
After the apprentice has been digging into the second day and the pipes were still blocked I was told that they would have to dig along the sewer pipes until they found the break and blockage in the pipes which he was sure I had without any actual investigation done. ...read more
Amazing the nerve!!! An eel or the snake usually does the job....and gets rid of tree roots temporarily...that should not cost more than $400...and thats the expensive end
Re: Invoice 10121. Was only a quote and a call-out fee for a blocked toilet. Nothing solved. Inspected bathroom and site.
Never tried simplest solution - quoted for the biggest job possible immediately. Claimed a 'sewer machine' was required. Total quote over $1,200. Refused to continue and paid call-out fee (which even then was steep).
Got another plumber in from elsewhere. Two pumps with a good plunger - problem solved and never repeated.
I'm not denying that they're competent, honest or capable, but I have real questions when the only solution offered is the most expensive, most extreme case possible - a plunger job was all that was required.
However, the plumber that attended was polite and well-dressed.
I would always recommend getting a second quote. This experience justified that.
I also bought a decent plunger for $20 from Masters to avoid situations like this again.
