Quarry Hotel

This place didn't appear on the list of pubs that I drew up when I first arrived in Melbourne (namely because I wasn't as familiar with the internet as I am now) however I discovered this place while sitting on the tram one afternoon as it trundled past. As such I marked it down as a place to visit, and did just that in the next couple of weeks. Okay, the outside looks pretty run down, but even then that can add a bit of character to the place. Basically it is a standard pub, though has the Brunswick feel about it (meaning that there aren't any pokie machines). They have a range of beers available, including craft beers, and the menu isn't all that expensive either (comparatively speaking). Okay, it isn't my favourite pub in the area, but I still quite like it.

Nothing to set the world on fire, but a good standard pub. The lack of pokies is an added bonus.

The Quarry is my local pub. The meals are always good and so is the beer. Melbourne Victory games are shown on screen and there's often a small crowd of supporters there watching. Pool table and video jukebox included.
