Queensland Independent College

Last year was without question was very difficult. There was significant change and uncertainty, and many families chose to move on as a result. We chose to stay, knowing that this was temporary and our daughter still had a very happy year. We're glad we stayed, we have a new Principal, a very committed P&F, fantastic teachers, and parents that are all working on providing the best possible education and environment for our kids.

Sorry to read such negative comments from a few disgruntled parents that are trying to discredit a lovely school we have had nothing but positive results and have two children attending teachers are great and as a small school great individual attention

We are so disappointed by our experience here. There is just no honesty or integrity with the leadership - promises not kept and unprofessional statements made by the principal. Nothing has happened here for years, despite the fees. Only positive is the teachers but there is a massive turnover of staff for such a small place. Students leaving in droves and school founder with a questionable business ethic and management of what should be school money. I wouldn't believe anything that is said as you're just told what she thinks you want to hear.

Our children recently attended this school. The only positive I can say is that for most part, teachers of Queensland Independent College are great. They do the best they can with absolutely NO leadership.
The leadership of this school have made so many promises over the past 4 years and none of them have come into fruition. Do not believe anything the leadership/board tell you.We have been promised classrooms for years, computers, specialist teachers, gifted and learning support programs. None of this has come into fruition.
Students are leaving in droves as are the staff, many without notice.

Do yourself a favour, turn around and run as fast as you can in the opposite direction!!

The management of this school is very poor. The teachers are great, but have no support or direction. For this reason, several teachers have recently left the school, and are now working in other schools. The school currently does not have a 'Principal' and is being run by the 'Founder' of the school. Many promises have been made to parents by the 'Founder', but very little has been delivered. I urge any parent considering sending their child to this school to do their research first. The school webpage makes many promises, but it just does not deliver. I do not know what the school is spending their money on. This year all art lessons have taken place outdoors, as they do not have enough classrooms. It just does not add up.
