Hidden away down an unobtrusive staircase, Quiet Waters is one of Adelaide's great survivors.This is a time capsule, from the burgundy couches that line the walls to a menu that has had only cosmetic changes over the years. Choices can be limited but there are often specials on a blackboard. Start with warm triangles of pita and a selection of dips, all homemade. There are grilled kebabs of lamb, chicken or kafta and a delicious lamb-and-rice stuffed cabbage roll cooked with lemon and mint sauce.
