Four of us ate here and had the Family Feast - 3 courses and coffee for $20. We thought it was amazing value. The food was excellent apart from the sticky date choc pudding, which was rather commercial. I had a great penne entree, veal mains and excellent coffee. The calamari that friends had, was recommended by other diners and proved to be perfect. We've eaten here twice before and been totally satisfied - love their veal marsala and partner thinks their marinara the best ever and he's an expert. Restaurant was full and people being turned away without a booking. We live just along the street and will go back.
I agree with both of the comments on here. The so called restaurant is a Joke and the food is over the top priced for what you get. A $17 takeaway pizza was literally 4 slices of pizza! We ordered both a $17 pizza and a $15 pizza for that price you would expect a decent meal, they were less than 6 inches diameter and basically had cheese on it! I also had problems with them adding up.... had a 25% off voucher and they their maths was a $1 out they said oh we round to the nearest $5 as we were losing too much money by giving the full 25% off! What??? GO ELSEWHERE food was ordinary as well as the service and their maths!
After 3 weekends of going there for brekkie and trying to see the positives of this local business, I have had enough of this mob. Breakfast special $8.50 (value of the coffee included $4.50. Watch out if you want a chai latte, as they will make you pay an extra $2.50 - however the normal value of a chai latte is $4.70) ... my maths say that would be an extra of $0.20. After a lengthy discussion they charged me an extra of $0.50 ... unbelievable ! Breakfast closes from 10.30 till 11.30 - today at 10.35 they sent 4 people who wanted breakfast away, but at 10.50, 2 people were accepted for the breakfast special - the only difference I could see was that the 2 they accepted for breakfast were extremely well dressed. To top it all off today, we were were given dirty cutlery with old eggs on. This was the last straw ! STAY AWAY PEOPLE ! There are other local businesses in the area that will care much more about their locals and your patronage !
I've had breakfast, dinner and take-away pizza from this place. had breakfast here first, excellent meal! Take away pizza was a joke, seriously! They were no more than 6" diameter, base was what you get frozen from coles, hardly any toppings. To this day i don't know why i didn't ask for a refund! Didn't go back for 2 years and then one day decided to try them again for dinner, it was very ordinary- extremely bland & extremely oily. I would like to know one thing- How can their website say "Best Italian food, coffee and service on the peninsula" when of the top of my head i can think of 5 Italian restaurants on the peninsula that are far far better...
