This bar is basically located in the old railway station at Byron Bay, and I would have to say that it is my favourite pub in town. I guess it has a lot to do with it being located in the railway station, but also because of the fact that not only is it quite lively, and has some pretty nice beers on tap as well (and a good selection to boot), but that there just seems to be this really cool vibe. Yeah, I really liked this place, and in fact came here multiple times, though the fact that it was on the way to my hotel also helped somewhat.
Great bar right beside the bus station and railway track. Its pretty much all open and they have live music on all the time. food is very good. This bar doesn't look like the food is that great but I thought it was really good. The music of the band playing at the time was not really my style. Country !
'The Rails', there is something so Australian about this bar. The front court yard is great, open with tables and chairs, no frills. The kitchen has a big open window with a food service servery looking over the courtyard. This is of interest if you enjoy watching your food be made. Inside is a good area for live acts and a bit of weather protection. Worth a visit. You can't help but have fun here.
