Railway Hotel/Motel Peterborough

My wife and I very much enjoyed Peterborough itself and its surrounds. With a population of only around 1700 people it really is quite the delightful little town. Unfortunately I can't say as much for the Railway Hotel, which it turned out was a deplorable establishment. Being in our sixties we've both traveled extensively around Australia and have yet to find a hotel were the sheets did not even appear to be washed!!! For only around $90 you can't expect too much, but one would have thought that at the very least you could hope for a little pleasant customer service, I mean what's the hurry in a place like this! Unfortunately this institution appears to be exactly that, an institution for those passing by with no other, more congenial alternative. I would have given it two stars but I barely slept on the uncomfortable bed.
