Just wanted to get off the central coast with my daughter for time out so no plans to go anywhere in general. Walked into the Railway Hotel in Muswellbrook after a road trip and found lovely friendly staff and publican. Yes we stayed the afternoon and over night, really how could we resist.... the open fire beside the pool table inside, the family orientated atmosphere, the locals so friendly, the shared female bathroom immaculately clean, the soooo soft beds in our quaint little cosy room, the big fire outside in the entertainment area, the lovely lady behind the bar with the blonde hair and the list goes on. Affordable country hospitality at is best. Well worth the look and stay ??
We are a group of 14 locals who meet together once a month for a social meal at the restaurent.
We keep returning here as the owner and staff are very friendly and a great help - nothing is too much trouble. The food is a varied menu, something for everyone, including a gluten intolerant diner. All the meals are reasonably priced and are generous in their serving size, though you can ask for smaller servings. We have not had a bad meal yet ! The owner keeps upgrading the hotel and making it more appealing for families. Can definitely recommend this pub !
