Cute little retro looking laundromat just down from the main street at Coolangatta. There's a little bit of parking out front, or more across the street. It's a small laundromat with a few machines, dryers, plus a really large one for bulky items like doona's. There's a small bench in the middle for folding clothes, and a few old plastic chairs to sit. (All the armrests are broken off tho) There's a convenience store & a nice coffee shop in the same row of shops here at Rainbow Bay. (I recommend getting a coffee & sitting elsewhere while waiting for your laundry.
This comment is unfair and unfounded. I know the "unpleasant attendant" this reviewer is referring to. That person is helpful, honest and direct. When I asked the attendant about this review they told me the reviewer is a photographer and had asked if they could do a photo shoot in the shop. The attendant told them no and explained why. It seems they had already taken photos of the shop as proven by the photos on this page and doesn't like or respect the answer 'NO' to a request. BTW this laundry is clean with plenty of parking and new machines have been added. The Attendant...... can be unpleasant when customers are overloading machines, banging machine doors etc.
The photographs I took of this laundromat were taken on my phone when I was scouting for a location for a retro inspired photo shoot for an engaged couple. There was no attendant present at the time. When I returned with the couple, and asked permission to shoot there, the attendant was blunt & rude. I treat everyone with dignity & respect, and expect the same in return. (In no way was I wanting to photograph the couple hanging out of or sitting on the washing machines- not my style! & I explained this) The attendant did allow us to photograph out the front of the laundromat & in the doorway. Sweet, we were happy. When I went in to thank them afterwards, the attendant was yet again rude and unpleasant. The couple I was with were disgusted with the attendant's demeanor. So, my original review "unfair & unfounded"? I don't think so!
I actually found the attendant to be very nice and polite.
I also found the furniture to wait on was very comfortable.
