Rainbow Hotel

This is another one of those really cool Fitzroy pubs that I seriously don’t get to visit as often as I would like. On the outside it is pretty colourful, and taking after its name (though I do wonder whether it was painted and got it’s name at the same time). The pub itself is pretty small, but also pretty homely as well, which is a shame that I don’t get to visit it all that much. However, it is the beer garden that really gives this place it’s character. Firstly the bar opens onto the garden, and you also enter the pub though it. Also, they happen to have a pool table out there as well, which really makes this place great. Okay, maybe it doesn’t have the appeal of the old time smokey pool halls, but it still definitely has character.
