My friend and I ordered Entree for each of us, but ONLY one plate came to the table... my main course Duck was nice and crispy but source was too sweet like a sugar.
then the bill came, it was $180 for 2 of us, we could not find itemisation when we wanted to look into details,
Anyway, we paid the bill as said, in stead of questioning the itemisation, however, my husband asked me how was the restaurant in the following day? I said, it was pricey...he checked menu on web and realised more likely we were over charged. ...read more
A disappointment again for this area, average food and average service. There is no real competition in this area and people have become blaise and willing to accept sub standard food served on a funky plate. A entree of 4 scallops for $18 poor value, its no BYO policy is not good and the Maitre De trying upsell $60 wines with wines averaging in the high $30's. It just didn't work for me and my partner. The quality of the cheese plate was a good example. It consisted of poor quality supermarket cheese but was delivered in a eye catching way rather than good quality produce served simply which would be preferable.
I just know that for good quality food and service which I am willing to pay for is not available in the Hills District. As food lovers we have no choice but to travel to other parts of the city to enjoy better restaurants.
I would not willingly go to Rakang again.
