My car was booked by my insurance assessor to be returned home by 3pm via Ready Towing. Ready Tow truck driver rang me at 2 to check if I was home. 4pm and still now car eventhough repairer only 30min drive to my house. Rang the repairer at 4 only to find out this Ready Towing clown had only just picked up my car. 5pm ....still no car. 5:15 I find the number of the tow truck driver and call him. He informed me he was at Rocklea ( 10 mins from my repairer) having dinner. I asked where my car was and he said it was on his truck parked in the street. I demanded it be delivered home right away. 6:10 he finally rolls up with my car with attitude, trying to intimidate me and justify his actions.
Terrible service.
The driver locks the keys in the car I just bought and tells me that it's the automatic central locking... In a 93 civic...... Doesn't have central locking.
Called the company and they originally told me that they would sort something out, and discussed the central locking story that the driver told them. They say they'll call me back with a solution
40mins pass and I still Havnt gotten a call, so I call them and they say that it's their word against mine and that the driver now says they never got into the vehicle... How do u tow a car if you never got in it to release the pak brake.
So the car i just bought is left half hanging out into the street, with the radio on, and the battery going flat, and is illegally parked because it's unregistered. And they won't do anything about it...
DO NOT BOTHER WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!
They are not only the most inept group of people ever but without a shadow of a doubt the worst people I have ever met. I have dealt with them twice now and both times, it comes down to screwing you over by taking more and more time on their end just to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. They were dishonest to this man just to tow his car, saying the scratch in his rear bumper may have a time delay setting off the airbags and that the car HAD to be towed, legally.
Would not recommend this company, I did not have a good experience with them at all (not to mention paying a high price for their service). The made some major errors on the invoice, it was just simple maths and what more they have no sympathy for crash victims when they come to the scene of the accident. The staff at the pick-up offices are rude as well, they need to look at hiring some more friendly and approachable staff. Do yourself a favour and find a better company for your towing needs, you dont need any further problems and this kind of behaviour after an accident. I already put numbers of other towing companies in my phone as 131 TOW isn't the only number I need to know!
This company takes advantage of people under duress. The call centre staff I dealt with were cowboys. In 2012 they do not accept payment by any means but in person at one of their branches at Virginia or Dutton Park, hardly convenient when your car is smashed and in a totally different holding yard on yet another side of town!!!! The are totally inflexible with acceptance of payment,and well overpriced. Learn from my mistake and ask for a quote at the scene of the accident otherwise it's just a do and charge, in my case $293.00 for 5km trip, not bad I had a car freighted from Melb to Brisbane with insurance for $600.00.
