Great location. Adidas factory shop across the road. Rebel sport is in a great area with other factory shops and Reading Cinema.
Shoes are always cheap and sports gear.
Staff are helpful.
Lunch at Subway next door or walk up to Maccas.
There is underground parking or parking in the open. Close to Homebush. Definitely make it a day out with family.
Awesome for getting great deals on random stuff. If you're looking for something specific, you probably won't find it, but the markdowns on clearance stuff can be great. Lots of the stuff is marked down from RRP price and is then further discounted at the register. Lots of the clothes look like odd end of season stuff which has been collated from the regular retail outlets.
The shop is like chaos and mess. staff are rude too. One of staff told me 'If you don't buy one, don't touch it'. If i check something similar items, staff often say 'They are all the same, why do you check others?' Also if they don't like kids or adults on running machines for testing or whatever, etc, they should put a sign 'Do not try' around or on them as well. Never come back to this store again in my life.
When they have a special, their prices are amazing - for e.g. 70% off ski gear, jackets down from $200 to $60 - you just can't get those prices elsewhere. On the negative side, of course there's no certainty of your size/colour etc, but it is a DFO so they're getting end of stock/outdated items. They do have a heck of a lot of items to choose from, I could spend a lot of money saving a lot of money there!! Well worth a visit especially at special sale times.
Definitely has the clearance store look, with stuff everywhere. It can be a bit hard to find what you want. Can't compare with other Rebel Store prices as I haven't been to them so I don't know if the prices are cheaper. But I thought they were reasonable, although "clearance" prices would be a stretch. To me they just seemed a bit cheaper than normal. Think the staff need a few customer service training courses. The girl who served me was downright surly. Sure wasn't any job satisfaction happening for her.
