Hey, bro! I gotta tell you, Red Balloon is totally ripping you off. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and just buy your tickets directly from the seller's website. Like, 99 percent of the time, you'll find them cheaper there. It's insane!
I mean, Red Balloon calls itself a voucher, but there's no discount in sight. In fact, it actually costs more! What's the point, right? It's like they're just trying to trick you into spending more money for the same thing. No thanks!
So, do yourself a favor and cut out the middleman. Skip Red Balloon and go straight to the source. You'll save some serious cash and avoid the frustration of feeling like you've been duped. Trust me, you'll thank me later. Stay woke, my friend!
I purchased a $300 Skydiving Experience through Redballoon as a Gift some time ago and would not recommend this service to anyone in the future. I followed the instructions provided to me and attempted to request a booking for the experience multiple times, without receiving any response until such time that the voucher actually expired.
Following this I advised Redballon directly who offered to provide me with Redballoon points to use on the same (or another) experience and advised that these would only last a short period of time. As with the previous experience, I intended to use these to purchase another (hopefully more successful) gift for a ...read more
I recently purchased a voucher for my best friend for her birthday - we did a 5 course degustation dinner in Sydney, and it was amazing. It was so great to be about to book in and prepay for the dinner, so we could just walk in and walk out with no hassles about how to settle the bill. Booking in the dinner was really easy, and the restaurant confirmed the booking fast and were great to deal with - would highly recommend and I will definitely use RedBalloon again for booking dinners.
Terrible experience with RedBalloon. Purchased a next-day courier delivery service for a 40th birthday. The gift was a box of chocolates. I ordered it on a Tuesday, 2 days in advance to be sure it would arrive on time for the Thursday. By Friday, it had still not arrived. On Monday I had to chase up RedBalloon over the phone only to speak to an annoyed sounding customer representative who flatly stated there would be no refund or credit added to my account. After a lot of talking in circles, I asked the representative for a simple 'yes or no' reply to my request for a refund, to which the representative replied plainly "NO". Apparently, since the chocolates have finally arrived and are awaiting collection at the post office, they and the supplier have fulfilled their obligations and "if you had read the small print" (which in the representative's words were badly entitled) "then you would have known that non-metro areas can take 2-3 days". When I said I would be posting a ...read more
Hi,
We are sorry to hear that you did not receive your order when you had expected to.
Our chocolate company advises next day delivery for metropolitan locations. Areas that are remote or country Australia are advertised as having a 2 -3 day delivery time.
It is never our intention to accuse a customer of conduct. We always hope for a favourable outcome for our customers but for our gift boxes, where the product has been delivered as advertised, we are unable to offer a refund.
We understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for.

I have also had a very poor experience with Red Balloon. I ordered 6 bottles of wine for my Bro's 50th and I'm still waiting for these to be delivered 10 days later. When I called RB they said it's down to me to chase this as their policy stated it could take 7 working days and we're on the 7th day. So, I'm still waiting....
Red Balloon needs to seriously up it's game if it wants to retain loyal customers. I suggest they try harder to educate customers around delivery.
