Red Door Bakery

So glad this has come to the area! Much needed. Both sweet and savoury foods are amazing.

I was in the area and needed to have the obligatory stop at Red Door Bakery. I managed to resist the sausage rolls this rolls but ended up leaving with a passionfruit meringue tart and a chocolate salted caramel brick and a couple of panini rolls. I had to cut myself off...

Great location! The bakery itself is small, but there are seats both inside and outside. Their beef pie is hands-down, the best beef pie I've ever had. I always kick myself for not going earlier when I arrive and realise they've sold out!

The weather is getting bad and I need to use the laundry to dry sheets and towels. Because of the roadworks I need to divert down Queen Street. What better way to reward yourself after drying a load of linen than a sausage roll with some chilli jam. Plus a loaf of bread to take home to go with your big pot of soup that's bubbling away on the stove...

Located in Croydon, Red Door Bakery has got to be one of the best bakeries around Adelaide City. Terrific service and delicious food, both savory and sweet! If you have not yet been here, give it a try!
