Red Hot Wok

After all these years, Red Wok is still one of the best Malaysian/Chinese restaurant. The lunch menu is quite extensive and there are a few interesting unusual ones. Generous servings, reasonably priced for the location, most importantly is the taste. When around here, Red Wok is always on out list.

During my last trip to Melbourne I talked to a lot of my friends looking for new places to eat. One of my friends who live in Melbourne suggested me to try Red Wok Caf and gave us the list of dishes we should try.

The restaurants dcor is quite basic, and reminds me of those Chinese restaurants in Hollywood movies. The atmosphere was quite plain, but since we were there solely for the food, we jumped straight to ordering.

Out of the dishes we ordered were the torch ribs and the salted egg prawns. These two were my favourite and all of my friends agreed. The other dishes were also good too (and I personally loved their eggplant dish), but the Tom Yum soup was not a winner as it tasted very different than what we expected.

The food came pretty quick and the staffs were quite attentive. As to the price, it was very reasonable. Overall, it was one of the best restaurants we visited, we even decided to go back for more on the following days!

Red Wok is a Malaysian restaurant which promises very good and satisfying meals. With a wide selection of mains, one of the best is the tofu. A very popular restaurant. Highly recommended to book if planning to have a dinner there on weekends or public holidays.

I love this place for quick and tasty meals. Great value and selection of Asian food. Have it spiced up as much as you like. The Char Kwe Tiaw is a favourite - ask for a few extra things as well.
