I went into the Springwood store today for lunch. I was surprised at just how run down the store is. The vinyl seats in the booths were torn and dirty. The plastic orange chairs at the tables were marked and dirty however the tables were clean. The tray return and rubbish disposal unit was also dirty. The ceiling had spots all over it where white paint touch up jobs had been done on a cream coloured ceiling and at least one light cover looked like it could fall down as it wasn't properly secured. On the good side, the staff were pleasant and well presented. It took longer than I thought it should for my order to come though. This is an older store but it is now time for a complete makeover to bring it up to an acceptable standard. Given the state of the front of store, I wasn't inclined to even go into the toilet so I can't comment on them.
Feeling lazy and we needed a quick Friday night dinner so we ordered delivery from this store - fairly simple order of a whole chicken & family chips.
Confirmation email provided no approximate delivery time so after waiting 40minutes I contacted the store. After confirming all my details I was assured that my order had already left the store and should arrive shortly. Our order did arrive 15minutes later (we are a 5minute drive from the store) and unfortunately the pieces if chicken (I ordered a whole chicken) had come out of their box and were in the bottom of the paper bag. The chips had also been freed from their box and were soggy with no seasoning.
Not a particularly great first experience of using the new Red Rooster delivery option and would probably never use again.
We went through the drive through and the fellow was very difficult to understand. I feel i am very tolerant, but when working in a situation where you cannot see a person and you rely totally on hearing their voice, they need to be understood clearly.
Anyway, the food was good and te order was correct. The drive through was in good condition
