Regis Burnside Lodge

My poor mother... she was supposed to be there for 4weeks approximately but had to take her out two weeks before. My mother has Lewy body Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. The last morning she was there I had a driver pick her up from Regis burnside and drop her off home she arrived shocked shaking uncomfortably hardly able to stand had to call an ambulance.... she had a bad fall ended up in hospital. I rang asked them why they didn't tell me she fell they didn't even know about it ... I received no phone call back asking how she was an apology absolutely no mention of it at all. A few days later the coordinator rag me to see when they was coming to pick up her belongings. Everyday I went to see her she had dressed her self she would put her pant on back to front over her pjs ... the list goes on she looked neglected and miserable.

nasty management at this facility. unfortunately this means that the level of care that filters down from the top is extremely poor. I don't know what else to say. Staff are running scared of what will happen to them if they don't do as they are told, even when they know it is wrong. I feel upset when I think about the level of care provided.

horrible place. the manager is a bully and thinks it is ok to intimidate and harrass staff. national staff support this behaviour. there are no clinical skills evident in management so quality of care given to care recipients who live in the facility is sadly lacking. never go here. try anywhere else on earth but here!
