Great service - house keeping got me extra shampoo, the front desk helped me with printing and were very helpful!
The beds are super comfy! And the curtains are thick to ensure you get a dark room. I slept like a baby.
But the rooms are small and tight.
The bathroom put me off a little as the toilet seat was old so it looked like paint was coming off.
The facilities are decent - the gym is small but has the necessaries
Free wifi; but it's slow and limited to only 500mb daily. Best to pay the little extra for fast internet.
The decor is old and a bit of the Royal side.
Good central location, however you are in the "bad" side of the city as there are lots of homeless people around.
My review here is based on the high tea that I had. This was my first high tea experience and I personally didn't enjoy it too much. I'm not familiar with high tea and not sure if this restaurant is doing a good job or not with it. The food was very bland, although presentation was at a high standard, the quality did not follow. The sandwiches were below average, and very simple. The cakes tasted stale and old while the scones were particularly hard. Very pricey and slightly disappointed as I had expected more. I am put off from trying high tea if this is the standard. I wouldn't recommend it here and I definitely wouldn't come back.
