Renegade Fishing Charters

We had the best day fishing and cannot believe this had negative reviews, maybe the new owners have got it right. We booked this trip after the other company canceled our charter at the last minit. Great crew that were extremely knowledgeable about good fishing. All up we had a great day out and caught heaps of good fish. Highly recommend.

This charter was by far the best I have been on! We had been informed that apparently it is under new ownership, and they haven't disappointed. We booked the full day and the crew were great. The gear was top notch, and the boys put us onto some great fish. We caught coral trout, red throat emperor, yellowfin tuna, spanish mackeral, red emperor, Nannygai, trevally, big jewfish and even managed a black marlin on the way home. The new owners have really organised this charter well. With a good mixture of trolling and bottom bashing, we used a variety of techniques including bait, lures, jigs and plastics. Not to forget the spectacular scenery as well!

We have already re booked for our next charter. Thanks again guys! we had a ball!!!

The worst fishing trip ever. I was so embarrassed, we went with family members from America telling them how much fish you catch on the reef, We had 7 people and there was an extra person for our trip make 8 in total. Our skipper was mostly interested in trawling for the big fish even after being told we wanted to bottom fish, I told him I wanted to catch Coral Trout. We went out for a whole day costing $300 per person. There was not one take home fish for the whole day. Our skipper only liked to drink Tooies New Beer he had over 9 beers for the day while driving the boat. He mostly trawled with a small amount of bottom fishing. He never stopped the motor of the boat once. He only allowed four lines in the water at one time. We had 30min intervals of fishing time each then had to swap. It was a big fat waste of money. Terrible fishing charter. the company did not provide all the information before booking. The advertisement implies trawling and reef fishing combined in every charter. This is not the case. To get to do any reef fishing it has to be a full day. The half day all you get to do is trawling. The worst part was they took out ten people and there were only 4 rods available. You take 15min shifts. The charter was a complete rip off of $190 for 45min of fishing. We also barely got to do any fishing ourselves the deck hand put lures or bait on, put the lines out and pulled them back in at the end. The only time you got to touch a rod is if you got a bite. On our way back we pulled up to some rocks and got to watch the deckhand try to catch done GT's. A waste of $190 and my morning.

Spent all time trolling made no attempt to bottom bounce when trolling not working

Sorry guys friendly but not working hard enough

Guess being only charter on island ther is no competition
