Its lucky this place has low lighting. I picked up my favourite wool jacket from them on Monday and it seemed fine. I looked at in the light yesterday and theyve well and truly embossed permanent creases with some kind of chemical plastic solvent all the way along the left lapel, that extends its entire length of the jacket and/or stretched it while ironing it to the point that the lining is also torn away from the upper arm. I really dont know what Id say to them. Very careless job. Safer to hand wash. Seriously weirded out.
I have been a customer since I moved to Melbourne 18 months ago and have brought all sorts of challenges to Rene’s from hot chocolate stains on an Italian silk blend jacket to grease marks from food dropped on both of my favourite silk tops (which I then managed to “set” by handwashing in an unsuccessful attempt to remove the stains), as well as the usual run-of-the-mill Melbourne wardrobe drycleaning needs.

I recommend using Rene's dry cleaners because I had a dress I wore to the races which I thought I had ruined but after taking it to them they took the time to listen & understood what needed to be done. Great service, professional & friendly at the same time. Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a positive review, it really does make our day to be recognised for the hard work we do every day. Hope to see you in store again soon.
Do not use this dry cleaner! The tags on my St Laurent sweaters (both over $600) were ripped off and both sweaters were out of shape. My Comme Des Garcons polo (over $300) was completely destroyed and out of shape like it was stretched. All these pieces were black and now they do not look as dark anymore almost like they were dried in sunlight.
