Replete Providore Cafe & Catering

One of my favourite breakfast / brunch places in Melbourne. The corn fritters, and the ricotta hotcakes, are delicious. The back room can be cold in winter, so bring your coat. And, like all breakfast hot spots, either come early or be prepared to queue for a table on the weekends.

If you can brave the throng of Hawthorn mums with prams, Replete is well worth a visit. The breakfast menu is the highlight and the ricotta hotcakes are a delight. But if you're in for lunch, the ploughman's lunch is also a great option.

Breakfast is very good if you can get a table. Lunch is average - I've found it to be heat and eat - nothing really fresh. Service can also be problematic especially when they are really busy.

This very popular Hawthorn eatery has a diverse breakfast menu including some award winning dishes. Considering it's not in the main shopping centre, it does very well for itself and is well supported by locals who obviously appreciate the food. Busiest on Sundays from the moment it opens. I've seen people queue up to get in to Replete Providore. I've enjoyed every meal I've had there. My only gripe - It's too small and cramped (some would say cosy) but you do have the option of eating outside.
