I Paid over 4K to RETROPLAY in Sept 22 with ETA for a top of the line digital pinball in Jan 23.
Today they have deleted their Facebook page and messenger, their phone number has been disconnected and there is Facebook group with 37 members that has been started for people who have paid money to RETROPLAY that have been ghosted by the company and have been delivered no product even after paying thousands of dollars.
No matter how good Dave’s story sounds to you - STEER CLEAR OF RETROPLAY!!
I paid for a high level Vpinball machine and a top level arcade machine back in March 2022 with custom artwork promised. over the next 9 months I couldn't get any ETA, responses to queries or any evidence things were progressing.

Don't buy from this guy. He has taken money from lots of people with no refund or machines. The Facebook support group is already 36 members strong, filled with people who have all had this guy take their money then ghost them. There is at least $30k worth of refunds he is ignoring. This includes him ignoring Consumer affairs' attempts to speak with him. You will lose you money if you buy any machines from this guy. Do you research! (FYI He has removed his google business page after the sheer number of bad reviews).
He owes me $6.5k from an order nearly a year old
I paid a 50% deposit of $6116.50 AUD on 22nd February 2022 (Invoice No – 1589), for 1 x Adrenaline Pinball Machine & 1 x Special Edition 2 Player Arcade Machine on 22/02/2022. These were to be made to my design. I had followed Retro Play on YouTube & Facebook and watched all the video’s. Dave (the owner and face of Retro Play) came across very well. He is why I placed the order.
After I had placed my order Dave went very quiet. I had to instigate conversations about the machines. I would give zero stars if I could. Paid in full for a DIY kit on 15/5/2022. Promised 2 week turnaround. 6 months of ghosting followed. I requested a refund after 6 months and was ignored. NSW Office of Fair Trading were ignored. Now seeking redress through the Civil Administrations Tribunal.
You can charge back any purchase less than 150 days old because the card protection will lapse after that time and you will need to seek redress through other means.
Buyer beware. Like the reviewer says below, check out other review sites and Facebook.
