As enticing as the TRASHPACKS are, and after being able to try a sample of that amazingly cooked Lamb that’s paired with Tzatziki and Mint by Chef Travelyin, I just had to have something that involved the full Suckling Pig, complete with head that was staring at me with its full body crackling rind from the bain-marie!
I had no doubts, that their pork rolls would be perfection, but I couldn’t resist requesting a custom make! Yum, Yum, Yum!!! We’re talking the most tender pork with it’s golden right crackling just right, contrasted with rocket, enhanced with basil pesto and mayo, jeweled with salsa verde and layered with apple fennel slaw, and sat in a freshly baked Cibatta! Unbelievable!
Definitely a high end choice for lunch and ocean’s above standard food court choices. Fresh full bodied salads and slow cooked rotisserie meats are impossible to disappoint!
The renowned "Reuben" sandwich was an ok lunch time meal prepared and served fresh on order. The pastrami, sauerkraut, etc was purported by friends to be one of the best combo's I'd tasted in a sandwich for ages - and while it was pleasant enough - there was nothing mind blowing going on here for me.
The toasted bread was a bit underwhelming and was actually a little cold and barely perceptibly toasted. A side of fries were also uninspired, luke-warm and a little flaccid.
As a food court eating experience excites me little anyway, I doubt I'll be back. That with the big ticket prices.
