Reuben Hills

A very popular cafe in Surry Hills but unfortunately I am not one of their avid fans. Firstly, they served us sparkling water without even asking, and we wanted tap. Their coffee is really good but the food sadly wasn't. Their soft baked eggs were raw, it was like they baked the filling and then just cracked a few eggs on top. My egg whites were still clear and the yolk of course runny, and apparently this is how they always make it.

Stable and reliable choice for a tasty breakfast. The coffee is great, the vibe is trendy and the menu has plentiful options.
I went for the baked eggs with chorizo. Very nice but wow was it spicey!

Such a nice café in the area! It can get pretty busy though during peak hours so allow yourself enough time. Everything I've ever had from the menu has been so delicious! The only thing I found disappointing is the salted caramel shake! The flavour was WAY overpowering. A lot of people have raved about it and I may be in the monitory but I am NOT a fan. Everything else about Reuben Hills, I love!

The morning my girlfriends and I arrived into Sydney we met up with our friend at her city apartment and decided to look for brunch! Me, being me, wanted somewhere well-talked about, known and trendy, popular yet unique. My newly moved Sydney-sider friend heard from another friend of this cool little hip joint called Reuben Hills, a short 10-15 minute walk away. We all agreed to give it a shot - we walked there in hopes we would get a table. And we did after a 2 minute wait. Great timing, because not long after that there was a little queue happening with people wanting to come in too.
Anyways, I found the place itself pretty cool, very hipster. The menu was kinda different with a couple of items but made me curious to want to try.
