My family have been using the services of Rhodes Docherty & Co for approximately 30 years and they have always provided us with an exceptional level of service and advice. They are a personal, caring and extremely professional firm and we really do appreciate the dedication of all their staff.
I had been using Rhdoes Docherty for a number of years to do my tax returns (always pretty straight forward and while it cost more to do them here than elsewhere, I felt that I was getting that extra level of care) but when following up with them on something I noticed on myGov account, I was then Invoiced for $220 for two (yes two) calls to the ATO to confirm something that was already in place, so I had nothing to worry about. I didn't ask them to call the ATO and had no advance warning that making these calls was going to cost me anything. I am not a high net worth individual, so getting this invoice was in my opinion outrageous charging. If I had known, I would have done it myself! When querying it with them, I was told that it was 'honest and reasonable' charging (yeah right..) and that they were comfortable with the consequences of not waiving the charge and me taking my business elsewhere.
