Ricco Ricco Jewellery

Just got engaged, but unfortunately the ring was too large. Went to Ricco Ricco Jewellery store in Sydney to ask for a plastic ring adjuster. The store only had metal ring adjusters. Specifically asked a few times whether or not the metal ring adjuster would scratch my platinum ring. Staff said it definitely would not scratch it. Happily bought it for $10 (which is not that cheap for the metal, as I was not told what it was made of, it looked like stainless steel). Staff fitted it. Was told it would last 3 months, however the next day the adjuster started slipping off, and I noticed about 7 longitudinal scratches on the inside and outside of my brand new engagement ring (which definitely was not there before). Went back to the store to ask whether or not I could get a refund. Refused due to the adjuster being worn.
