Decided to give this place a go for a work lunch with a group of five. This place has a buzzy vibe with Asian style hanging bikes on the side. We ordered a few dishes to share between us from bread to salads. When we ordered their sequence of their meals that came out was a bit disorientated. One plate of bread came out first and then one main and then smaller tapas and again bread towards the end. Service was great and staff was friendly. One positive about this is that during lunch it does get busy, so it's great that they take bookings for such a small venue.
You have to book here because it's super busy. They have two lunch sittings and they are pretty spot on with getting you in and out on time. The special cocktails were tasty and fresh, some great combinations! The menu is good, lots of options. The duck salad was brilliant and I would eat it again and again. Funky atmosphere, and friendly staff. Loved eating here and the entire experience.
The service in this place has gone down dramatically since it first opened. T Be wary of the quick table turn around required, youll be ushered out very quickly. hai style king fish ceviche is still excellent. The pricing is very palatable - $55 for choice of any five items on the tapas menu its it a simple and easy dining experience.
Rice Paper Scissors is a fantastic, pokey new asian restaurant that's located in Liverpool Street, Melbourne. The food is made from really fresh ingredients and the menu is South East Asia inspired including it's shared plate concept. The menu is really simple to pick as it comes with a $55 for 2 deal where you can pick any five of the dishes to share. We had the spiced pair bellini made from a spiced pear puree to accompany our food and it was just devine. I think the staff could have been more attentive as on more than one occasion we'd tried to flag a staff member eg to order, despite that we found the staff to be very courteous and knowledgeable about the menu items. We tried the chargrilled beed, betel leaf scallops, salt and pepper callimari, pork belly pork buns and the barramundi. All of them were delicious!! Definitely recommend this place.
