I felt like rice and had been browsing along the side of the food court however with nothing appealing. There was quite a number of people queued up & thought I'll glance over at their menu as haven't bought from them before. Picture didn't look too bad and ended up ordering the chicken teriyaki with Kim Chi. Wait wasn't too long given how busy they were. $9.80 for regular size which I found to be quite large the Serving. Nicely presented, right portion of meat & veggie and well flavoured. It has to be by far one of the nicest chicken teriyaki ivr eaten at a good court. Definitely without a doubt returning again for something else on the menu.
Known for their $2 cone green tea ice cream and black sesame seed, this was all i lined up for. At least 3 people in front of me ordered the same so the staff was busy pushing that button to dispense the ice cream. Apart from this they do serve other dishes and sweets but for me only paying $2 to get a nicely fresh serve of ice cream was definitely worth it. Thick and creamy and the taste of the green tea was not overly strong which was pleasant to eat as an ice cream. They also have a store in the city from memory. I'm yet to try the black sesame seed ice cream but will do on my next visit, would be good on a nice hot day. Not sure i know of any other place that serves this value for money ice cream especially when it is not your typical ice cream flavour.
Another quick food court Japanese chain. Not focus on sushi but other Japanese dishes. I love the octopus balls on the skewers. Easy to eat on the go is ever feeling peckish. I haven't really tried other items as they don't seem appealing but the octopus balls are good and always seem fresh as the most popular ones. The service is ok, quick and staff are nice and do their job quickly and happily. I heard the Melbourne Central store has green tea ice-cream on a cone for $2 and is really good, so i thought to try it here at the Highpoint store being the closest to me but they didn't have it available at the time i went which was disappointing. Not sure if they haven't yet had the ice cream machine installed or if their machine wasn't working as i couldn't really understand the staff properly. I will definitely come back to ask again when i am at highpoint and probably try something different other than the octopus balls.
