Richmond Club Hotel

I really like this pub, if only for the roof top bar which gives a pretty cool view of the city, and you also get to watch multiple trains roar by in the afternoon (if you like that type of thing that is). Anyway, the pub has three levels, and each of them a pretty unique. The ground floor has a restaurant and a front bar, the second floor is basically another bar that has live music, and the roof is, well, a rooftop bar. Mind you there is only a small smoking area on the roof, so you can actually enjoy the veiw, which is undercover as well, without worrying about smoke. Actually, each of the three levels has its own outdoor area, which is also pretty cool. I would come here a lot more than I do if it was closer to my way home, but I do come here when I can.

We stopped in here for a quick dinner before a concert on Saturday night. The girl sat us down in a booth, which was very cosy and intimately lit. We ordered a meal, with allergy instructions; we could hear the kitchen behind us, and could clearly hear the Chef's instructions for my meal which was nice to hear! The hot chips are to die for! They were absolutely amazing! I had a steak, and my partner a chicken parma; both very satisfied with the taste and portion sizes. We were not there for long, and when we were leaving the attentive waitress asked if we were heading to the concert and we excitedly said yes; even though it was not a big deal to ask, her interest was a nice way to end what was a quick in & out but extremely enjoyable experience. We will be back!!

Average bar but good TAPs.....

I had after work dinner and drinks here last night and i really enjoyed it! Laid back with great food at a great price! I had the Waghu Burger and it was fantastic!
I was accross from a large group for their Christmas party--they had plenty of good things to say about the wine!! If you're after a table definately book ahead because there's not a large number of tables and it was very busy by 6.30 but that didn't slow the great service!
