Rickys River Bar And Restaurant

We have dined here several times and have always enjoyed the food and service, the location is lovely on the river although somewhat isolated from bars if you are wanting to continue barter dinner.

Amazing food! Great service with a beautiful view. The only small complaint is that you cant help but feel squashed into the restaurant. Our chairs were touching the chairs of the tables next to us. I felt like we were squashed in like sardines. However the food is presented so well and is beautiful - try their duck as a main.

We arrived at Ricky's by ferry which was great and being early we had time for cocktails at the bar (also good). After that things went downhill a little. It's not that there was anything wrong with the food as such. It's just that when I'm paying $30 for a main course I expect more in terms of creativity in the kitchen and ambiance in the dining room. The wine list was also highly marked up considering the type of establishment. This is casual dining with fine dining prices. Location is good on the river but didn't count for much as it was dark outside.
