Rio Grande - Tex Mex BBQ

We ordered three potatoes, garlic bread, snack pack, burrito, wedges and ice cream. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN. Not only a waste of money, but what a waste of food. The potatoes arrived mashed you'll find better at your local hospital, they were also the most edible thing sent. As for the rest, just appaling...... Haven't tried the ice cream yet, waiting for our stomachs to settle. We rate rgk half a star for finding the address.

Went there this evening. Tried to order the standard Texas BBQ: Beef brisket. They'd never heard of it. So I ordered the pork ribs. My sauce options were "BBQ, Honey Teriyaki, sweet chili, or plum." Which is pretty much the same options as at the Salt Link BBQ in Austin, right? (Actually, no, not right). It's as far from being Texas BBQ as the Rio Grande is from the Yellow River.



And pork ribs are yummy no matter how you cook 'em. So don't go here if you're hankering for down-home Texas BBQ. These guys don't even know what that *is*, let alone how to cook it. But they still cook a pretty tasty pork rib hence it gets one, and only one, star.

Absolutely shocking!!..after seeing good reviews I thought I'd spend a little more and have (what I thought would be) a Mexican/rib feast!

When it arrived I was informed that they had not amended their prices online and it would in fact cost an extra $3...which isn't much if the food was up to scratch but...it wasn't! In fact so far the opposite side of the spectrum that I called to complain and let them know I would never be ordering from them again!...my suggestion is do not order any food from here unless u like burnt chewy ribs and cold very average Mexican food....

i love this place! the chicken burgers, ribs, chicken skewers, potatoes, wedges and aioli mayo are divine, always great service here too - the people that run it are so friendly. very reasonable prices too

Rio grande's ribs are great! The service is friendly, and the price is resonable for the quality that they supply! I have used both delivery and eat in, and unlike many other restaurats, both were as good as the other.
