This business installed my ducted evaporative system some 10 years ago.
A week ago I had a 5 meter long continual spray of water spurting from my roof..... Sometimes stuff just happens.... Unfortunately it took a (very hot) week before we could get a service guy out, but once on site he diagnosed the problem in 3 seconds without even leaving the ground. He was 100% right ( well done Zeb) . Unfortunately for a number of reasons It was going to be another 8 days before he could come back with parts to fix my unit and make it work safely. Before Christmas last year the refrigeration unit of my ducted heating/cooling system kept cutting out during the hottest part of the day. My regular service man assured me all other parts of the system were okay but he wasn't qualified to dismantle the 'fridge unit.
Rite Price's technician attended, and told me the unit was positioned badly (outside the back door) and repositioned it. That didn't help, so he tried changing a couple of electronic relays inside the unit. That didn't help either, so then he insisted that the switching gear was faulty, either the keypad in the lounge or the 'computer' in the roof, so he replaced them both. ...read more
