River Island Nature Retreat

Well first you have to get there on a narrow rough windy road, not so bad going there as the way to fast 4WDs are going with you, coming back nearly got cleaned up 3 times, so you finally make it down the extremely steep driveway (allow 10 minutes, allow an hour to get from Mittagong), The facilities are pretty good, although the "barn" could definitely use a basin or somewhere to wash up or at least rinse your things as this is a main eating area for some. Apart from nature walks which unfortunately if you went when I did in winter the river is freezing & you have to cross it, so they are limited, there's pool tables, a pool & some spas (sauna might be put on if it's a weekend), Again since it was to cold for the pool, really it only left the spas, which are turned on about 4 til 9 or so.
