These cottages are only a 50 minutes drive from where I live and very convenient to the Rushford Winery when there are events on there which is why I found them the first time. We have stayed there twice and really enjoyed it. The second time we just took a one night break away from the kids and watched DVDs, used the spa and reveled in the lack of kid noise.
The cottages are beautifully dressed, the bed is comfortable and the chimney from the wood stove keeps the loft bedroom warm. There is tea, coffee and breakfast doings provided and you don't see your hosts if you don't want to. The local Yarra Valley wineries, most of whom escaped the bush fires from Feb 2009, are all a short drive away.
It's a great place for a romantic night together with several really good restaurants within taxi distance so no one has to be the designated driver! Highly recommend these cottages as we have stayed in both and found them both as comfortable as the other.
