I have had numerous holidays with my family and friends over the last 30+ years (my most recent over the Easter break), and I have to say that my holidays with Riverfun Houseboats have been my most enjoyable yet! We have taken several different boats on a yearly basis from this company and there is a boat to suit any need or budget.
The business operators are more then helpful and great to deal with, and we have never had any trouble with any of the boats! I highly recommend Riverfun Houseboats to anyone considering a houseboat holiday. We will be back!!!!
We paid for the Houseboat Solitaire, 7 nights. Cost over $2000.00, 6 weeks in advance plus bond of $800 (cash) on arrival.

Unfortunately there is a lot more to the mishaps with this boat, even to the stage where everything just shut down, ie motors and generator because the battery died. It was very lucky we were moored at the time, had we been mid stream we would have been in all sorts of trouble. This boat is old, nothing like how it is advertised. It's in need of a great deal of TLC and maintenance.
You have failed to mention the offer to transfer to another houseboat after the first leak, also you failed to mention the refund you got for the trip, as well as the apologies due to the abnormal rain event that we had. Sorry to see you had to voice this on several websites.
Yes, an offer to transfer to a smaller houseboat that wasn't suitable to our needs, and it doesn't matter how much it rains, the interior of the boat should be rain proof. I had intended to include the refund, but lack of space did not allow for it. You gave a $500.00 refund, we replaced the cot mattress and bedding at a cost of over $300.00 because we just could not get the brown stain out if it. So it really wasn't much of a refund after all.
