Rivers Clearance Store

Rivers is my go to shop and this is my favourite location. Staff are friendly, the sales are amazing and i never walk out empty handed even if it's just with socks. I love the range of styles they have and the sales they always have on. I can never resist a trip to Rivers..... have I mentioned the Sales? They are simply a wonderful place to shop.

I don't think I'll buy a pair of shoes anywhere else than here again. Well, maybe not quite that - but this will certainly be a favourite place. Especially when they're on special as they were the day I was there I can't imagine why I'd go elsewhere. Bought sneakers, work shoes, sandals, and a polo shirt and the lot cost under $40 total. They're all good quality too - though for example at $3 each if the pretend-crocs fall apart in a few months I won't be too concerned.
It's true the staff could do with a somewhat higher level of friendliness (I asked about a discount coupon I had and got a rather brusque response) but I don't shop here for their customer service - it's their products that I want. It's true too that it's not the neatest store but again I'm happy to look through looking for what I love. I'll definitely be back.

Bought a pair of loose fitting cargo shorts and the zip lasted 3 hours & they weren't even tight.

Rubbish clothing, don't waste your time!!

RIVERS - GEPPS CROSS, SOUTH AUSTRALIA = RUDENESS
Today I thought I might give RIVERS in GEPPS CROSS (South Australia) another try. I had a very bad experience there some months ago (with their rudeness) and swore I'd never go back. I did today, with the hope they'd improved.
Within a minute of walking into the store, the Owner/Manager came up to me and started prodding her watch and said "We close and 4 o'clock and it's 4 o'clock!" Her voice was loud and her tone aggressive and offensive. I find it astonishing to think any business owner or staff member can speak to customers that way.
This time I will be taking the matter further and will be reporting it to Rivers Head Office!#reviewtowin

I sent the complaint to Rivers Head Office and have not heard a word from them!

Store is always a mess, staff too busy talking out back, whilst leaving the other solo staff member to face the music of angry lines of people waiting to get served up the front.

Shelves are a mess, shoes, in wrong size sections, clothes of hangers.....need i say more.

Seems better if you head in during the week, when they have time to work on some housekeeping and its not as busy. Still, if you are persistant you will find yourself some good end of season markdowns which they are clearing out.
