Riversdale Estate Cottages are located 18 minutes from Hobart and offers country style accommodation. Guests can enjoy the rolling landscape of tended premium vines and olive groves in a peaceful country setting.These immaculate cottages offer two bedrooms, a spacious lounge, flat screen television, digital video display, compact disc, dining area, full kitchen and large veranda to sit and listen to the prolific bird life (55 documented species) amongst established pines and recently planted Wollemi Pines overlooking the vines and groves to Pittwater. Guests can choose various interesting and picturesque guided walks through the vineyard and groves to the salt pans on Pittwater or simply bird watch while enjoying a picnic hamper. Guests are able to visit the olive factory on the Estate during the day and be spoilt by the range of goodies, including olive oil soap, olives, fetta and oils, and by night watch as the University Satellite Dish star gazes.Externally the cottages are of colonial architectural style – however, internally are filled to the brim with French provincial furniture and wares gleaned on overseas trips.Each cottage is a living history of the Estate owner’s families, with a specific painting in each ...read more

What a fantastic experience it has been for my partner and I! The place is clean, quaint and incredibly well furnished with French-provincial inspired furniture. It is well worth staying here as it's 10minutes drive from the historic town of Richmond Hill and is 15minutes drive from Hobart CBD. Wendy the owner is friendly and easily contactable. I would stay here again!
