Riversdale Golf Club

This is one of the finest golf courses in metropolitan Melbourne. Sure its not a sandbelt, but the fairways are spectacular and greens challenging, so I can forgive the course for being light on sand traps. Meals at the club house are reasonably priced and very tasty and a very friendly, unpretentious membership base makes Riversdale a great place for a hit (if you know a member as its 100% private).

attended a 80th birthday party catered for here. food was very nice- prawn cutlets, ribbon sandwiches (tuna, egg, salad), arancini balls, mini vegie pies. the staff were very attentative making sure guests got food and drink -although after discussion with person paying for the function I was told you don't pay up front, you pay for how much alcohol guests drink afterwards, which made alot of sense when I commented on how your glasses were constantly filled up, often when you did not require it, when they were half full (obviously were very keen to get to spend as much as you could which is really off putting). lovely setting, have several areas available to hire for function, easy to park. lift access for wheelchairs.
