I took a friend to the caf today and told her how good it was. When we sat down the young girl cleared the table as people had sat there previously. She didn't know how to wipe a table down. I ordered iced coffee with no cream. When I received the coffee it had cream. My friend and I also ordered scones. We received our coffees and 20 minutes or longer - no scones. I asked the waitress if our scones were ready. She apologised and went and got them. When they came to our table they were rock hard. My friend asked when were they baked. The waitress said they were baked the day before. We couldn't believe it!
What caf serves day old scones. I will think twice before I visit this caf again, and I certainly won't recommend it.
Was passing through Guildford today, saw a sign for this place and thought I would stop in. What a treat, a perfect little cafe' tucked in down by the river. Great scenery and a nice relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely polite and super friendly. The food came out really quickly as did the coffee and it all tasted great. Wasn't too expensive either. Great little place to stop in for bite to eat. Was very surprised and quite impressed.
Had a nice lunch, today 1 April 2012. The service was fine, if a little slow. Certainly pleasant and friendly staff. Meals are sufficient in quantity and quality and are not overpriced, being around $2.00 - $3.00 either side of $20 for the majority of them. The other bonus is that it is a BYO restaurant, which for this style of restaurant is increasingly difficult to find.
So, if you want a reasonably good lunch with your own wine/beer at a realistic price in a very nice setting- you would be hard pressed to find much better. And you can tie your boat up to the jetty.
Definitely worth a visit.
Riverside @ Woodbridge... A fantastic cafe/restaurant! The food is amazing particularly the eggs Benedict for breakfast called, 'Suzie's Special'. You have to try it!! A great spot also for lunch with a comprehensive selection to choose from on the menu! The setting is top class right on the river. Also an excellent venue for functions, weddings and birthdays. The coffee is made to perfection by the staff. You have to try it out, it's called Massito and is a smooth and bold coffee which is perfect for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea with the scrumptious Scones, jam and Cream! Highly recommend Riverside @ Woidbridge!!
We have found this little gem of a restaurant Riverside @ Woodbridge, with sparkling river views and a Heritage House to explore. Nature at its best with geese and swans meandering up and down the river and if your lucky a regatta ,but most bemusing is the people friendly ducks who wander in and around the location. They say all creatures sense the good or the harm around them so its no wonder with the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly "nothings a problem" attitude of the staff that the birds are always around. The food is an absolute delight, not the spoonful of sustinance on a plate witha hefty price tag, the serving is ample and the price tag moderate.
I found the perfect dish that met all my desires this visit it was the Prawn Avocado & Rockmelon Salad with a zesty creamy chilli sauce. A bed of mixed ...read more
