Riverside Fish & Chips

Rude, rude, rude. Went here for the 2nd and last time ever this evening. The first time (Dec 2013), I didn't get my fish in the order, and tonight, at 7.35pm, was told, no more orders, we close at 8pm. When I looked at the clock and then turned to leave, the staff made a rude comment as I walked off with my family. Never again!

I thought long & hard before leaving this review, as I am coconscious of what this can do to the business. However after waking up at 2am (some 7 hours after eating here) my conscious was clear. I cannot go into it, however you would be wise to stay very clear of this takeaway!

The serving sizes are small and pricey, the location is convenient for parking, the food is below standard.

Very impressed with the Fish 'n' Chips I purchased. The scallops were just amazing, not the size of marbles.. they were huge. The owner recommended the Blue Grenadier as we were buying lunch for my husband, myself & 2 children. Very friendly staff & highly recommend anyone passing through Anglesea to drop in for great Takeaway. Thank you, our day in your town, was made quiet pleasant. ++++

We were extremely disappointed with what $51 bought us. The fish was tiny with at least one third of it being bones and tail. The batter was oily and limp and the chips were few. It is hard to comprehend how a seaside town could get fish'n'chips so wrong.

Oh dear. Wish we hadn't bothered! $10 for a skimpy piece of "fresh" fish~ added extras Inc the tail, scales & bones. Batter was at best average. Chips were small and scrappy, but ok never again!!
