Rolls Vietnam at North Sydney is an attempt to modernise the Vietnamese cuisine into its next best thing. Although only a small shop with only three tables (and six chairs) for outdoor seatings, Rolls Vietnam takeaway shop has the modern-looking designs which really take away any preconception of classic next-door Vietnamese bread shops.
This modernisation does come at a price though. A normal pork roll is sold for a currency that translates to almost 2 pork rolls on a food court several steps down. The rolls are quite adequate with fresh ingredients, but the taste really doesn't add any additional twists to the original Vietnamese rolls we all know.
On several occasions I visited this shop, there were barely any customers. The staffs are friendly and attentive. They seem to also do corporate catering as well, which I think is a fresh idea for corporate office lunch option.
Fresh, clean, modern and a new spin on the vietnamese rolls Rolls of Vietnam is like the 'subway' of vietnamese rolls.
The staff are super friendly and nice and the ingredients are nicely laid out. The bread is super crunchy and fresh and you can see your roll being made before your eyes. The prices are about $8 for a roll which is quite expensive compared to the more authentic places, but it is understandable given it is located in a corporate hotspot. I personally prefer more authentic rolls which contain more sauce, seasoned chicken and pate, but I know this place will be enjoyed by many.
