Romance Restaurant
There are only a few ways to describe this hidden gem. The first description that springs to mind is a great experience; this will be an all night affair. WARNING: Do not assume that this will be a typical dinner that will be over in an hour or 2 (or even 3).
Dinners usually start around 7 and will last until almost 12. In addition to the multiple courses of food there is always a live band playing and after a few drinks (shots of Vodka of course) the whole place is up and grooving on the dance floor .
There is no denying that the food is not great and its just above average at best. However, the food should be enjoyed with a great group of friends, a few bottles of Vodka and gherkins (Russian tradition to bite a gherkin after a shot).
This is not the place to go if you are after a culinary experience, but this is definitely a place to go to get a great and unique night out.
An Authentic Russian experience. We took a Russian friend there and she spent the evening ooh-ing and ah-inmg over the delicacies on the table, telling us they were just like what her grandma used to make - perhaps even better! The entertainment adds a great element to the night and will ensure that as well as a full belly, you'll leave with a satsfied grin on your face
One tip, don't fill up on the appetisers!
The food was good. We had baked salmon and salmon. The asparagus was somewhat bland. The waitress was quite self confident to the point of appearing slightly irritated that she had to provide service beneath her rank. The price is high. The seating is cramped and, one row back from the window, uncomfortable.
