I went there this week for a birthday dinner and loved it! My agnolotti was amazing, we didn't have to wait long (though it wasn't overly busy), staff were lovely and the owner even gave my friend a free tiramisu with a little candle to celebrate (plus little sorbets for the rest of us!). Such a great night, will definitely go back.
Really nice staff and management...but food is just ok-to-good. Large servings, but can be quite plain. Example, pork chop came on its own with a massive wilted and dried out shredded cabbage type salad with no dressing or accompaniments. My partner had chicken and spaghetti that was a massive serve, but quite bland (not bad, just bland for a well known and long running Italian restaurant). They were quite busy when we went, but it took just over an hour for our main meals to arrive. Staff were nice, but appeared to be a bit nicer to some tables who they knew. Would've appreciated a quick "heads up" that our mains were going to be delayed, or even a smile as the waitress whizzed past our table again and again to take out meals to other tables who ordered well after us. I know this all sounds bad...but...the staff were genuinely nice (just busy and seemed to have a lot of friends in that night). Management are lovely and friendly.
