We have recently had a very bad experience with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. We were quoted for a complete roof restoration, replacement of entire box gutter, replacement of all screws, Rustshield treatment and painting. We were interstate when the work was undertaken so we weren't there to oversee things but we trusted them to do the job as per their quote. We are in our sixties and our house is two storey so it was unlikely we would climb on the roof to check the work so they thought we would never know. We paid them in full $6,450, in good faith, for a substantial amount of work (quoted and paid for) that was never attempted nor material provided.
Following on from my last post, I sent this company a letter expressing my disappointment and spelling out my side of the story - expectations, etc. I had no hope that this would change their mind given they had already told me the guarantee did not cover my problems but I just wanted to let them know how I felt. Much to my surprise, they are now refunding my money - in full!!!! My opinion of them has obviously improved. They are not accepting full responsibility but have earned much kudos by listening [and, of course, refunding my money] - I had expected the letter to go straight in the bin. Just proves what can be done with a bit of persistence.
Extremely disappointing. Expensive, misleading and no customer care. Buyer beware. Make sure you read your 'guarantee' VERY carefully and know exactly what you're signing up for. Painted my roof [not cheap] and now, after 3 years, has holes in it and has to be replaced. I relied on getting a professional advice and professional service. My advice - get several quotes; read everything carefully before signing and take your time to make an informed decision - don't let contractors push you into signing up on the spot. Be aware that professional association membership may be paid for by the company so the consumer may not necessarily be their priority. Current quotes for replacing my roof are coming back at around 40% lower than this company quoted 3 years ago!!!
