Rooftec

Went with Rooftec as an owner builder and have regretted that decision. They took the profit on the main roof and did not come back to complete the second stage of quoted works. He just went awol and could not be contacted. Roof still leaks and despite reports that detail what is required to fix the issues, they have not sought to rectify. I read through the other complaints posted on Google reviews and can relate. Same excuses of no record of previous contact, intention to deliver a great product etc etc. Every other trade and part of our build went smoothly and without issue. Don't risk your project with this company.

Engaged this Company to replace all gutters, fascias & downpipes in Oct, 2017.
Very satisfied at the time with the result. BUT this year - 2020 - torrential rains exposed a problem with flooding from an upstairs downpipe onto a lower roof and into the ceiling space. This downpipe should have initially been installed with a spreader to splay the water volume over several roof tiles. But only had a direct outlet onto ONE tile, causing the water volume overflowing into an adjacent bargeboard and destroying a kitchen rangehood below.
Yes, agreed, the job was completed 3 years ago, but despite many emails, calling the office,
(NOTE: you can not call him DIRECT) owner would not respond, return and correct the problem - a very minor job. We have since had to outlay extra monies to correct the problem - thanks Rooftec!

Rooftec repaired parts of our concrete tile roof and guttering, and installed three soak wells. The quote was very thorough, and although they were a bit more expensive than other quotes I'd received, it gave me confidence they'd really looked at the issues. They followed up on the quote, but only as much as other roofing companies I'd also obtained quotes from. The business owner organises and manages the works onsite and was available to discuss the job and any queries. I thought they provided excellent customer service, they let me know when they were coming and sms just before they got to site. I was really happy with their work, there were a few things I queried and they came out the same day to discuss and fix. The repairs have been tested with some significant rainfall. I'm happy that the job has been done right with these guys, I'd definitely recommend them.

Very fast quoting, thorough and intrusive followup to get your work. Require a 20% deposit. Rooftec Are slow to schedule and do the actual work once your deposit is received. Have been offered a refund for the work not completed but am still waiting. Would not recommend paying a deposit to this small outfit.
