Rose Heritage Cafe

I went a couple of years back and it was excellent. This time round (March 13) was very dissappointing. The tomatoe chutney that came with the vegetable stack I ordered was in fact canned tomatoes and nothing more. The vegetable stack was bland, colourless and consisted of pumpkin, zucchini, eggplant and cheese, not a desirable combination. The salad that came with the stack consisted of lettuce only with 1xhalf piece of cucumber in amongst the lettuce. Last time I went the salad was sprinkled with petals from the garden and looked amazing. The only reason I didn't complain on the day was because I was with my elderly parents for their 60th wedding anniversary, and it would have made them uncomfortable. Something has gone very wrong at this cafe, and they need to lift their game.

Enjoy a coffee in the alfresco area overlooking the plentiful rose gardens, or sit inside in the rustic rammed earth building, cosy near the fire.

The location is breathtaking, the food tastes decadent yet healthy. Fish food is available to purchase so the kids can feed the Koi.

But the signature of this establishment is that they make you feel so at home that you can spend hours enjoying the view after your meal is finished without feeling any pressure to move on.

Lovely, fresh food. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the gorgeous gardens and fish pond make this a great place to take friends and family. The price is reasonable and the service excellent. It is worth the drive from any area in or near Perth.
