Completely ruined my new condition Burberry coat beyond repair.
1st go there were stains and a hole in the sleeve, John offered to try and get the stains out (note these were like water stains and weren’t present before)
2nd time returning all the lining was completely torn. I asked to go to Burberry for recommendations on repair but John assured me his tailor could repair.
3rd time returned (and months of back and forth) the coat’s fit had been altered and no longer fitted me.

I just picked up two items of clothing from them - a dress and a cotton top. Really disappointed to see my dress damaged after paying a whopping $25 for dry cleaning it. All he had to say was that what could he do... he dry cleaned it and there is no way for him to guarantee quality service. He suggested I take it back to Myers.
No apologies, no refund or discount. Just what can I do - tough luck.
Avoid them if you can - I need to find another dry cleaner in Prahran!
If this dry cleaning business truly damaged your dress, then you would be entitled to compensation from them as they didn't exercise due care and skill (as per the Australian Consumer Law). They are also members of the Drycleaning Institute of Australia - which has its own dispute resolution mechanism for cases like this.
I have no financial or personal connection to this business -- but I am a long term satisfied customer and I know the owners of Rose Valet would do whatever it takes to fix any issues. I am surprised that you didn't pursue this through the channels available to you to resolve the issue.
I'm a long term and very happy customer of Rose Valet. I've been very happy with the quality of their work from my most expensive Bueberry trenchcoats (in fact it was a Burberry store manager that recommended this business in the first place!) to my everyday suits and trousers.
They take great pride in their work and their professional attitude -- I am very surprised by some of the negative reviews below (knowing the owners, they would have bent over backwards to fix these problems). I and many of my friends / colleagues will continue to use Rose Valet's services and highly recommend them.
I took 2 items of clothing here, and receievd the worst and most disgusting service ever.
One was an Arabella Ramsay designer overcoat which had a tiny coffee spill at the bottom - Upon picking it up, I complained that the stain I'd brought it in for was still there and they said they couldnt do anyting further. I took it home and a simple spot wash took it out completely.. I wonder why they charged me $35 for this? clearly they hadn't touched it. ...read more
